Weekend Review: Prom Night
Halloween bred scores of imitators, mostly low-budget and low-quality, yet exerting some strange hold on legions of mostly-teenage fans. This 1980 production birthed three sequels and the obligatory remake, due to hit theaters April 11. It also, arguably, established the fact of contemporary slasher as a genre.1
Secret Invasion Prologue online
Marvel released a “Secret Invasion Prologue” digital comic to subscribers only last week. Today, it became available to everyone. Somebody has been replaced by a Skrull. I’ve suspected a lot of people, but I didn’t see this one coming. You can read the prologue here. The main event starts on Wednesday. As usual with our event coverage, all crossovers will be reviewed in story arcs, while the main event gets reviewed by the issue.
