WGA strike casualties
According to this TV.com article, production has recently ceased on The 4400, Bionic Woman and Battlestar Galactica. Supernatural has a few weeks worth of scripts left before it shuts down, and Smallville should be able to remain in production until late January. Reaper will also shut down shortly. While not genre, the very enjoyable Psych has also shut down.
Weekly Digital Disc Picks – November 20, 2007
I’ll watch and review something after doing some housework. I’m debating between the Criterion Collection edition of “Armageddon,” the HD DVD edition of “Being John Malkovich,” the original (and strangely unreviewed) “Pirates of the Carribean” (which will be reviewed before the third hits home video on December 5) and “Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles” which is being released in a fancier edition this coming Tuesday. If you have preferences, speak up soon!

World War Hulk Review – “World War Hulk #5”
The main event is over. Still to come: the last issue of the “Incredible Hulk” and “Heroes for Hire” crossovers, both due this week, as well as the last issue of “World War Hulk: Frontline” due the week after that. Once those are done, I’ll do a full event review and wrap up as was done with the Civil War.

The story is at Comic Book Resources.

Weirdly enough, the assassination attempt involves the tooth fairy.

Supernatural Discussion – “Fresh Blood”
Yes, this is one of the weeks I remembered to post the column. If I forget again, don’t be afraid to use the “submit article” link at the left to remind us. (This goes for pretty much any genre show, actually.)

Chuck Discussion – ‘Chuck Versus the Truth’
Been remiss on posting discussions for some shows.
Chuck must learn to balance a real love life with his cover love life when he meets a charming young woman by the name of Lou. At the same time, his relationship with Sarah gets interesting when the duo must explain their sexual relations with Ellie and Captain Awesome on a double date. Meanwhile, there is trouble when someone is using “truth” poison in order to retrieve codes for nuclear facilities.
