What’s that? September 10 is more than “just” an Apple event? Why, yes, it’s Trailer Park Tuesday! Movie trailers behind the jump.
I’d buy that ticket for a dollar! Trailer for the rebooted RoboCop, coming next February.

Want more big-name stars in your SF? Try Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, in Gravity.

A near-future dystopia trying to crush free will. Nope, never seen the plot of Divergent before. Totally original.

Is it sad that the most unbelievable thing in the Gravity trailer is that they’re still using a Space Shuttle?
Do we need a reboot of Robocop or rather sequels that are well written? I’m not sure I like the attempt to make Robocop look like a Cylon.
Do we ever really need a reboot of anything? It looks like they’re going a different direction with it, rather than being satire/gore/humor, doing more traditional action.
A sequel might have been better, though, but these days everything gets rebooted… Every time you turn around it’s a new origin story, as though people can’t be bothered to remember more than two film’s worth of backstory about a character…
Reboots and sequels are less risky than original movies, and Hollywood collectively are scared to death of doing anything that isn’t guaranteed to make hundreds of millions of dollars.
