Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “Tootsie is always enjoyable, and you know Criterion will put together a fantastic release, but it’s
not a terribly strong recommendation. It’ll be some time before we see the release of another ‘must own’ title.” Alex says, “Fortunately, we do get a ‘must
own’ title this week – Cowboy Bebop is a show that all fans of animation and fans of science fiction should have in their collection.”
The Americans is a great series. Though since it can be streamed for free via Prime Instant Video and FX reruns older episodes regularly, it’s hard to recommend buying a set.
Maze Runner had some significant changes from the book but ones that felt necessary for the translation to a movie. I enjoyed both the movie and the book, though I read the book only after having seen the movie. I’ve already pre-ordered that one.
