Great!
As long as they don't muck it up, this could be done very well. I've always loved
these books, and I think they would adapt very well to film. They're not
particularly long, so they shouldn't have to change much either. The trick will be
finding the right kid to play Will.

Re: Great Series
<BLOCKQUOTE TYPE="cite">
I picked up this series when I worked for its publisher and I really enjoyed the books. They're a little King Arthur, a little C.S. Lewis, and captivating reading. I don't know if Susan Cooper is still alive (and I am too lazy to check) and, if she is, I

SNIP
</BLOCKQUOTE>

Yes she is still alive and writing. Her latest is called The Magician's Boy.

I hope the filmmakers stay true to the story. My favourite was Greenwitch, probably because it was a Jane story.

Great Series
I picked up this series when I worked for its publisher and I really enjoyed the books. They're a little King Arthur, a little C.S. Lewis, and captivating reading. I don't know if Susan Cooper is still alive (and I am too lazy to check) and, if she is, I hope they value her input rather than ingnoring it, as they did with Ursula LeGuin and the Earthsex, er, Earthsea mini series.

These books, like those of Tamora Pierce, are wonderful 'children's books' that can inspire young readers to continue to read sci-fi and fantasy.
