- The Complete Series: Gina Torres was on this
before
Firefly. I never managed to see it, as its
home network
isn't available in Canada. Is it worthwhile?
Surprisingly enough, this is actually a small week in
general. I
didn't see anything non-genre on the release
schedule that caught my eye.
Finally, the pick of the week. Earth
2 - The
Complete Series: This was an enjoyable show. The
first half of
the season was great, but when Spielberg left, things
took a very
sharp turn into the bizarre. Be warned: it ended with
a cliffhanger.

Really? I only liked the first half of the pilot. Then it turned into Dr Quinn... in SPACE! And it was a sharp downhill tumble for the rest of the series.
Noble savages helping the downtrodden pioneers... *yawn*.
Pretty campy. Think of Xena, only in a Cyberpunk futuristic setting. I din't see that many episodes myself, though, so there may have been some redeeming qualities that I didn't notice.
What I saw was good enough that I'll pick it up when I've got the chance, but more on the strength of Gina's involvement than what I saw on the screen. I've made an effort to support anything I can find with the Firefly's cast in it.

The Inside, on (*cringe*) Fox (may their scheduling VPs burn in hell), starring Adam "Jayne" Baldwin, and with some heavy Firefly writing and producing background.

It was a silly show that a lot of people couldn't seem to adapt to. Xena's actually a fairly good comparison if you just consider the exceptionally quirky episodes. I liked it, but I took it for what it was: a campy little guilty-pleasure low-budget post-apocalyptic serial like something we would have written when we were 8 years old or so. That's actually not a bad thing if you're not prudish.
