Everyone loves lists, right? RIGHT? Yeah, that's what I thought.
Well, here's another one. Specifically, this is Entertainment Weekly's "Top 25 SF TV Shows And Movies Of The Last 25 Years." Pay attention to that temporal disclaimer, as it explains why things like "Star Trek: The Original Series" aren't on the list. You can click the link thingy or just our "Read More" for the entire list.

3. BLADE RUNNER (1982)
2. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (2003-Present)
1. THE MATRIX (1999)
These lists are always subjective, but the lack of "Twelve Monkeys" and the fact that "The Matrix" topped the list makes Dave unhappy.
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (the hate out there for the new movies shouldn't affect this entry, plus its a shame that ESB narrowly misses being eligible for the list)
Fifth Element!!
Also, are comic book movies considered Sci-fi? If so, there's even more missing from the list.
Just a quick look, and there's no 12 Monkeys and no Babylon 5. To make things worse, the list DOES contain The X-Files (which was awful and WASN'T SF), Lost (which I actually like, but isn't SF) and Starshit Troopers (which counts as SF, but is the bottom of the barrel's bottom of the barrel).
Perhaps they were refering to the animated Starship Troopers series, it was good. And of course Babylon 5 needs to be in there and the Matrix needs to be further down and The Fifth Element should be in there somewhere. Lost and Heros should not be on the list.. X-Files and QUANTUM LEAP are iffy at best.
