What's your problem, anyway? They're the BBC - they produce television, not encourage people to turn off their TVs. It's something fun for British families to do together, and it's more Who for us.

Sure the BBC produce television, I'd just much rather see them add an extra episode to the series than have a gimmicky Christmas episode starring a token celebrity (sorry Kylie, but you are this time) and probable recycling of those Father Christmas robots again.
