It's a sad, sad day. She was good for an episode, but I have a bad feeling she'll grate with more.

Also.. have the BBC released one Doctor Who news 'bite' each day this week.

Monday: Martha Jones in latter half of series four as well as in Torchwood.
Tuesday: Diminutive pop-star Kylie Minogue to appear in the Titanic based Christmas Special.
Wednesday: This!

Can we expect more? Such as:
Thursday: Christopher Ecclestone to co-star in the Christmas Special as the ninth Doctor.
Friday: RTD to stop writing for Doctor Who. (We can but hope)

Even that's a matter of opinion mate, I thought she was bloody awful even for one episode. The thought of having to put up with her for a whole series almost makes me want to claw out my own eyeballs, and stuff them in my ears so I can't hear her either.

Be patient. The fourth series will be RTD's last, at least as show runner.

I Thought she was ok as well in the Christmas Special. And it would be nice to have a companion whos not completely enamored with the Doctor for once.

Yeah. I understand how it was easiest while reestablishing the Doctor to have companions without their own agendas, but it'd be nice to have companions who really aren't necessarily in agreement with the Doctor (like Turlough in the Peter Davison years, who was for a while motivated to kill the Doctor).

It looked like that was where they were going with Adam in the Christopher Eccleston season, but they didn't really have him stick around long enough for it to get interesting.

I dunno, I thought she was okay. I think given good enough writing (this means you RTD) she'll be decent. She's a really funny comediane and she's even appeared with Tennant on a fundraiser special a while back that was pretty funny. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9uugVWW_XE

Well, that was hilarious.
I was actually relieved she said no in the xmas special, so
I'm less annoyed that she's back, now. thx for the link
