How are the Buffys? Worth getting in the convenient trade paperback edition of the future?

They're worth getting, though the first trade paperback is for issues 1-4, Joss still writes issue 5, and Brian K. Vaughan takes over for a while (under Joss' supervision) with issue 6, so the issue that ships today may not be included in a TPB. I'd suggest picking it up on its own right away, if you plan to get 1-4 in a trade. The first four have all been reviewed so far, and the review of issue 5 will be up by the end of the weekend.

Supergirl and Lobo

I have been enjoying the Supergirl/Lobo comics.

One had one of the few lines in a comic that ever made me laugh out loud (good thing I wasn't eating anything at the time): Lobo accused SG of using her x-ray vision to check out his "package". Her reply: "No - I was using my microscopic vision!"

Definitely a high point.

...I'll have the latest Countdown review posted by the weekend.

It's actually a little better this week, but the earlier issues didn't set the bar particularly high.
