Alfred Hitchcock Presents - Season Three: As enjoyable as these are, if they don't start releasing more than a season a year, they won't even have them all on the market until long after the DVD format is dead.
American Silent Horror Collection: Includes "The Man Who Laughs," "The Penalty," "The Cat and the Canary," the 1921 John Barrymore Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (though in a far superior DVD release than the one reviewed there) and "Kingdom of Shadows." This is a Kino Video release, so the copyright expired films don't come cheap as they've been restored, and not just dumped to DVD from some old VHS copy like other companies do.
MGM Classic Musicals: Includes "West Side Story," "Guys and Dolls," "Fiddler on the Roof," "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
Finally, the pick of the week. I'm going with the third Alfred Hitchcock Presents set. The first two were well produced (especially given the age and technology of the original sound recordings), and Hitchcock's style and twisted sense of humour pervades the entire series.
