Look! Up in the sky.....

I haven't been watching the show, but with cast not returning and the creators gone, they really should seize the opportunity to give this show the final conclusion/transition it should have undergone a year or three ago.

No kidding. The story of Smallville should have ended after high school graduation with Clark going to the Fortress. That process of post-graduation pre-Fortress stuff should have been at most a year. Ah, well.

So far, Michael Rosenbaum and Kristen Kreuk have stated that they will not return for any more Smallville seasons, should they come to be produced.

And neither will the viewers.

I'd actually be happy if Kreuk left and the show continued. That's not because I don't like her work, since that's improved dramatically since the series started, but because a show with Clark and not Lana would finally put the Clark/Lana relationship to rest and actually move forward into the Clark/Lois relationship.

Doing it without Rosenbaum and keeping it good will be much harder to do.

I'm really hoping that it's Lana that is dead, and here is what I wish would happen:

Lana dies, Clark mourns, then decides to go up the fortress at the end of the season. Then fast forward a while, and have him come back, and bring in a bunch of the JLA crew.

Yeah I have season 7 on the DVR and haven't watched much of it. There is a time in TV show runs when enough is enough and it must come to a close. That time was a few years ago. I doubt I will watch much of season 8. I may not watch the rest of season 7 either...
