Doctor Who may appear on the big screen, according to series writer Steven Moffat. He’s done so twice before, in the 1960s, though the earlier films were not in continuity with the series, and re-imagined the character’s backstory for Peter Cushing.
Of course, this isn’t the first time this has been suggested as a possibility for the revived series.
