The Olympics ended on the weekend, and Hollywood released this re-imagining of the 1975 Corman cult film about the future of sports entertainment. Did anyone see it? Is it worth seeing?

Yes and hell yes. I really enjoyed it, lots of action, cars shooting at each other with lots of armor. Cars flying through the air burning. I mean, what is there to not like?

I thought it was a great movie.

Didn't they? I mean the first one was just all out and was a dark comedy. The new one was based in a prison. I haven't seen it but the change looked jarring from the commercials.

I haven't seen the new one so I don't know if this applies. That said, if nothing else, I imagine they found it a bad time to have a topic in the movie be assassinating the president.

(Do I need to put spoiler tags around something from a 33 year old movie? ;-) Better safe than sorry.)
