It's been awhile since we've had reason to post a Buffy piece, but this article provides us with the opportunity, if only due to its sheer idiocy. A dubious example from an interesting study has been misrepresented in the popular press. I know this sort of thing happens all the time, especially when journalists try to understand academics or when academics try to examine pop culture....
I've got 3 more reviews I'd like to write for you guys, and I'd like to see, if possible, if there was a way for me to submit them all at one whack and have them released on a schedule or something. If you are able to view my E-Mail address in your records, and E-Mail me, please do. If not, that's okay too.
In my opinion, ANYTHING that "devastates the church population" is a great thing. The less organized religion there is in this world, the better place it will be. Note, I said organized. Which is one of the most deadly forces for evil humanity has ever devised. Personal religiosity is fine. (I love that word!) But over here in the states, I get sick of jackasses coming to my door and billboards claiming inanity as I drive down the road. Don't get me started on the tax free status for religious institutions. That is a travesty of justice if ever there was one, right up there with the catholic church's support for molestation of young boys. (ok, that one was tongue in cheek, but fun)
