The boxed set is being released by A&E Home Video while the Peacekeepers Wars was released by Lions Gate.

For those like me who are upgrading from the ADV discs, some of which were fairly poor quality, the box set lists a lot of extras but I’ll wait to see whether they are repeats of the ADV disc extras or all new material before selling off my old discs.

Thanks for the clarification. I’d wondered about that but didn’t look closely to check.

So it will be like SG-1 then on my shelf, a giant box set sitting next to the follow-up movie(s). :-)

One note for those planning to pick up Farscape: as far as I can tell this set does not include the “Peacekeeper Wars” mini-series, so while this does have all of the original run and is much, much cheaper than the original ADV discs, it doesn’t have everything.

Dang Americans and your wonderful Netflix! If only it would come north of the border and allow me access to the forbidden closet of mystery!

As Fez said, this would be nice, but at over $100 USD (which should be around $120 for me) it’s a little out of the budget. Hopefully it does the same thing as Firefly did and drops within the next year – either that, or I know what I’m looking for on Boxing Day.

Farscape was a fantastic series that ended far before it’s time. Everyone should watch it!

I have a Blockbuster Online account, not Netflix. They do have them available to rent, but we have far too much TV on right now to try taking on a complete series. I typically keep that stuff for the summer, when there is almost nothing on TV.

If I can’t manage to pick up the series by next summer, I think I’ll try to rent it again.

Well, if you’ve got a Netflix subscription, they also have seasons 1-3 available for streaming as well.

I have never managed to watch Farscape all the way through. I missed most of it when it was on originally, I tried and failed to watch it when it was rerun in syndication multiple times, and I haven’t had a chance to rent any of the seasons. I’m glad they finally got around to releasing the entire set. Maybe one day I’ll pick it up and finally get to see it from start to finish. At >$100, it’s a bit out of my entertainment budget range at the moment.

In the meantime, I, too, will be getting Star Trek this week, if anything.
