Batman vs. Superman cast?
posted July 24 2002, 5:06 am by fiziko

Category: Movies According to this Ain't It Cool News article, Petersen's Batman vs. Superman has been cast with Colin Farrell as Batman and Jude Law as Superman. They've both got time to work out, so I see nothing wrong with those choices.

not cast, in the running...

from Coming Attractions...
Mid-afternoon, July 24, 2002... Straight from Warner Bros. itself Coming Attractions has been told that neither Jude Law nor Colin Farrell have been cast in Batman vs. Superman. Auditions continue to take place and more actors will be seen next week. While Farrell and Law are in the running, they have not been signed. They are being considered and nothing more. How about Ben Affleck vs. Matt Damon.
That would be a hoot.

Affleck has said for years that Daredevil is the only hero he'd even consider playing, and that it's the only part he'll wear a costume for. I wouldn't mind seeing Damon as a Daredevil villain, if the first movie comes out OK.

Wouldn't Dean Cain be the ideal movie superman since he was the latest to do a live-action portrayal?

Well, Tom Welling has done a live action version since, but he needs to age a bit. As for Dean Cain, I was never happy with the way he played the dual role. (Both characters had the same personality, so I don't see how anyone close to him would have been fooled.)
