Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures have signed Wolfgang Petersen (Superman vs. Batman, Air Force One, Das Boot) to direct and produce the epic tale on film. It is being titled “Troy.”
No word on when filming will start or who will be in it. It goes without saying that, if this is a hit, a big screen adaptation of the sequel, “The Odyssey” won’t be far behind.

That was a really loose interpretation of The Odyssey in my book. There was also the Armand Assante TV version in 1997. It was accurate, if a little goofy.
