Hmm. I'm really close to saying...

...stick a fork in her, she's done.

Was I the only one staring at the screen in credulation that there is a higher up to Dillon telling him they'll transfer the flag away from the Andromeda to some other ship?

Let's see, he stars a commonwealth back up, gets 50 worlds together, so kick him aside like yesterday's garbage because the gian magog ship is still on its way (or does it exist now?)

Very disappointing episodes. I'm thinking of cancelling the TiVo pass one this one.

I argree. This turn in the plotline really sucks. They were just getting to something good with the Ma-gog and the Tyr arcs and now they do this. POOF! Instant commonwealth, just add water. It is clear that Sorbo and Company think very little of the fans that have been tuning in for the past two years. I recently read a quote that they want to lighten the show up (a la Hercules) and have each episode stand on its own. Well guess what Kevin, your idea sucks!

Yeah, the instant commonwealth thing has really been bugging me too. I'm giving it one more episode... if I don't see something interesting, I'm giving up. If I wanted this kind of pointless non-plot and inconsistancy, I'd go watch the last season of Earth: Final Conflict again.

Didn't even bother to watch this weeks episode...and from the looks of the two comments so far I didn't miss anything either. Hercules never appealed to me and it looks like Andromeda isn't going to either anymore. Pity....it had promise up until this season. The differences in production values and writing are painfully obvious.

While I'm still enjoying Andromeda, obviously some of you aren't. General consensus seems to be that the producers have decided that we watch the show for Kevin Sorbo, and could care less about the story.

So, I ask you... Would you still watch if Andromeda lost Dylan Hunt? This would be very similar to what happened on Earth: Final Conflict, although I can't say much about that, because I never watched that show after they switched main characters.

Without Dylan, would the show lose it's focus? Or do you think that it would still be watchable as long as they got back to the Tyr/Magog/Other interesting story lines?

With the right writers, but doubtful. Tier and Trance have potential - something I hoped would be explored more by andromeda, but I think the show may be done. To think how I anticipated this season. What a shame.

No, I don't think I'd watch if Sorbo or Cobb left. The show was built around these two characters. Removing one of them would probably kill the show. If Cobb left I might still watch but that's a big maybe.

If Sorbo left it would take a phenomenal actor to fill his shoes for me to consider watching. I'm not talking an A-list actor but someone who has an immediate charisma and explosive talent in an entirely different way from Sorbo. Even then I'm not sure I'd watch cause I know I'd be comparing him/her to Sorbo in every aspect.

I'm thinking of not watching altogether for an entirely different reason. The show lost its direction. I think these first few eps have been fun, somewhat cute even, but I am waiting for the longer story arc. I haven't seen anything even hinting of one to come.

Sad to say it looks like its turning into a sad version of Next Generation. I understand the mechanics of command since the formation of the Commonwealth Dylan's now takes orders instead of gives them i.e. The Federation a la Star Trek. But what drew me to the show were the dynamics caused by not having a federal law.

With the formation of the commonwealth the show lost a few of the things I liked most about it. The constant fight against what used to be and what is. Doing the right thing because its right not because you were ordered to do it. and few other moral and light philosophical type dilemmas.

If I wanted to see Star Trek I'd watch re-runs of Next Gen.or the original. I hope the writers decide on something. Because the stand alone eps. are not working and my patience is wearing.

The writing is an unseen cast member and the team has changed and its a reason I may stop watching the show despite a main character leaving.
