Rommy's internal sensors can't locate one trapped crewman because the computer is told the section isn't there?

Rommy's internal sensors can't locate one trapped crewman because the computer is told the section isn't there?

I found it almost as interesting that Rommy could detect energy from that location, even though she could not detect a human.

The obvious questions include

1. what other features does Andromeda have that she has been programed to forget about?
2. Why is it that no-one has run a program to check the dimensions of all the cabins, and compare them against what is recorded, and find oddities like this?
3. Three times now there have been people walking through walls, and with this fourth case we have a real ghost?
4. Does the fact that the dead guy's program could create a hollogram that neither instance of Rommy could see suggest that somewhere down the line we could see some enemy try the same trick?

Then again, someone may be able to address all of these issues.
