Any thoughts on what that "devastating" ending will be?

Well Starbuck’s a Cylon, that much is pretty obvious from the previews .

Didn’t see the previews… did they have multiple Kara Thraces?

The colonials will have to sacrifice themselves to prevent the Cylons from conquering present-day Earth.
Our astronauts will find the Galactica log book floating in space.

You remember how farscape ended right?

Which part, the series or the movie to wrap up the series?

          • Re: A question
Well, the series ending made me want to kill somebody. The movie wrap-up merely left me unsatisfied, wishing they had a full season to do that story. I think I’d prefer something similar to the latter than the former.

Or the first Terrans to get to Mars find the crashed Galactica and reverse engineer the technology to start our own colonies and build our own workforce of "loyal" automatons. "All this has happened before…" remember? However, given the number of parallels with the US in Iraq, I think an ending with the Colonials squabbling amongst each other and bogged down in a senseless war of attrition more likely.

I’m certainly not expecting "and they all lived happily ever after" though.

        • Re: A question
They don’t have the resources to put up that kind of fight against the Cylons. If they try, they’ll get wiped out. I agree on the no-happy-ending bit. This will not end well for our heroes. I seem to remember one of the producers early on saying the story was about the obsolescence of humanity.

          • Top Ten Worst Shocking Conclusions

            10. Everyone is a Cylon. They replaced the colonists after winning the war, but the colonists remained unaware.

            9. "All this has happened before," and the finale involves a time-loop.

            8. The Galactica finds present-day earth, thirty years after the end of the previous season, with the help of Dr. Zee.

            7. Two humans alone survive the massacre by Cylons. They settle on earth. Their names are Adam and Eve.

            6. The humans escape and settle a lonely planet called Coruscant.

            Who has the next five?

            • Re: Top Ten Worst Shocking Conclusions
              5. The Galactica manages to find a portal into the "Dark Universe." A centurion’s head, Baltar, Gina, and a suspended-animation Apollo are the only survivors. Hilarity, and phallic symbols, ensue.

                  3. Starbuck is patient 0 of a new and deadly venereal disease with an incubation period long enough to let her slutty ways infect enough of the the population to wipe out all humans and cylons.

"The final Cylon" Six says, turning to look straight into the camera "is YOU!"

And the worst shocking conclusion for Battlestar Galactica:

                      Galactica in a snowglobe!

LOL Excellent. :))) Bill "Husker" Adama comes in from working a day at the docks in Caprica City, takes off his coat, and pats his autistic son Zack on the head …

                      Great!

Now, if any of these turn out to be the correct answer, I will stop watching the show immediately.

                      Wait a minute….

The Galactica diverges course and heads to the Devaron system where it meets 2 other Galactica’s each shooting a tachyon beam into an ever enlarging anomaly.

Baltar has a Six in his head playing games making him jump around through time when he comes up with a solution to the ever enlarging anomaly.

Baltar’s Six (in his head) says "Too bad, all good things must come to an end". Suddenly the screen flashes white and they go back to living on Caprica and everyone is sitting around a table playing cards where Baltar joins them for the first time..

Fox buys SciFi and we don’t get to see the last ten episodes until they release a boxset of DVDs sometime in 2011.
